MY OWN SOUL

At the bottom of my life ,

When there was nothing ,

Only failure and disappointments.

No one was with me ,

Except my own soul!

How I wanted if only a single person could cheer me up ,

Who could motivate me ,

Who could see my worth ,

But alas! No one was there.

Just my own soul!

Then with time , I made my soul , my best companion.

Now , I did everything what I wanted to.

Eventually , I started loving myself unconditionally.

I became my own bestie ,

And I was my cheerleader too.

When I started succeeding the way ,

Then to my surprise ,

Now everyone was with me.

Cheering for me loudly ,

Motivating me ,

But alas! now I was not in search for the most fake so-called motivation from the external source ,

I found real and genuine motivation within me.

Now I was confident enough ,

if I would face failure 

then I will try and succeed again.

As I have my cheerleader always by my side i.e. my own soul!
